A much more disciplined year and the best cash profit since 2000. A remarkable return of 29.1% on stakes. Highlight of the year was the correct scores' betting on the WC qualifiers which showed brilliant returns over the summer months. Elsewhere a cautious return to spread betting with some experimental horse race formulae showing encouraging returns. However I fear the lack of liquidity in these markets coupled with the obvious failure of spreadunfair to catch on will limit the opportunities. As seems to be normal at this time of year, my (05/06) football ante-post wagers don't look great - unless Swansea win the 1st Division. Altogether a very pleasing year and a return to the sort of form I was in during the late 90s. Mike Quigley, January 2006.
